Suicidal Thoughts & Self-Harm

Therapy and resources to help you through the moments that feel the hardest to carry. You don’t have to face this alone.

If You’re Struggling, You’re Not Broken

Thoughts of suicide or urges to self-harm don’t mean there’s something wrong with you. They often show up when your pain has gone unheard for too long—or when it feels like things will never change.

At MindSeed, we offer a safe, non-judgmental space for anyone navigating suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviours, or feeling overwhelmed by a mental health crisis. You don’t need to be in immediate danger to seek support. Therapy can help you begin to make sense of what you're going through—and find steadier ground.

We’re here to listen, understand, and walk alongside you—without pressure, shame, or fear.

What You Might Be Experiencing

Everyone’s experience is different—but here are some signs that support may help:

  • Feeling hopeless, numb, or like a burden

  • Thinking your pain will never end

  • Having thoughts of ending your life, even if you don’t want to die

  • Using self-harm (cutting, burning, hitting, restricting, etc.) to cope

  • Withdrawing from others or feeling like you don’t belong

  • Struggling to find reasons to keep going

Whether these feelings have been building for a while or you're facing an especially overwhelming moment, self-harm support and help for suicidal thoughts is available—and it can help you feel less alone.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

It’s okay if you don’t know what to say or where to start. Our therapists move at your pace, helping you feel safe and supported as you begin to unpack what’s behind the pain.

Therapy can help you:

  • Understand the deeper emotions or experiences behind suicidal thoughts

  • Build new ways to cope with distress that feel safer and more sustainable

  • Work with parts of you that are overwhelmed, angry, numb, or in pain

  • Reduce feelings of shame, isolation, or self-blame

  • Strengthen your connection to self-worth, purpose, or hope

  • Feel less alone—even in the hardest moments

You don’t have to explain everything perfectly. You don’t need to be “ready.” Just showing up is enough.

Support Tailored to What You Need

Everyone’s experience is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach.

We’ll work together to find what feels supportive, manageable, and right for you—below are some of the therapeutic approaches we may gently draw from along the way.

  • Strengthen emotional regulation, reduce impulsivity, and build tools to tolerate distress.

  • Explore the internal parts of you that carry pain, fear, or hopelessness, and shift how you relate to your story.

  • Reconnect with your body in safe ways and learn grounding techniques for intense emotion.

  • Understand how relational wounds may be impacting your self-worth and support healing from within.

As part of our holistic approach, we can arrange a psychiatric consultation when appropriate. If needed, a psychiatrist will work closely with you and your therapist to provide additional support, including medication recommendations.

This service is available to clients actively engaged in therapy at MindSeed.
