A whole team trained for this conversation.
Sex and intimacy are part of mental health — but few clinicians are trained to discuss them with ease. At MindSeed, we provide ongoing sex therapy training and consultation across our team, so more of our clinicians can hold these conversations with comfort, current knowledge, and respect.
Clinicians like Sarah bring focused training and ASTO membership in sex therapy, anchoring the team’s depth in this area.
We offer sex therapy training and consultation to our clinicians, so their understanding stays current and their comfort with these topics keeps growing.
Care that affirms all bodies, orientations, relationship structures, and identities — without assumptions about what a “normal” sex life looks like.
From low desire to mismatched libidos to questions you’ve never said aloud — nothing here is too trivial to bring to therapy.

Questions Before You Start?
A few quick answers to help you feel confident before getting started.
What actually happens in sex therapy?
Sex therapy is talk therapy — there’s nothing physical involved and no physical exams. It’s a confidential space to understand what’s going on, explore what you want, and work toward it with a skilled therapist.
Is my concern too small to bring up?
No. No concern related to sex or intimacy is too small or too awkward. These are common, human questions, and they’re exactly what this space is for.
Is this affirming of all identities and relationships?
Yes. Our care affirms all bodies, orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures — including 2SLGBTQIA+, non-monogamous, and kink-involved clients — without judgment or assumptions.
Can I come on my own, or with a partner?
Both. Sex therapy can be helpful individually or as a couple. We’ll talk through what fits your situation on the intake call.
Is it covered by insurance?
Most extended health plans cover psychotherapy, and we offer direct billing to many providers, including Manulife, Canada Life, Sun Life, and Blue Cross. We’re happy to confirm your coverage on your intake call.
Can I switch therapists if it’s not the right fit?
Yes. Through our Therapist Match Guarantee, if your first therapist isn’t the right fit, we’ll help you switch and include a complimentary session to support the transition.
